MARCH 2000: Delivery Plan bid for New Deal for Communities‘ funding submitted.
MARCH 2000: Youth Inclusion Programme launched to target youngsters in danger of going into crime. Launched as Youth Works, YIP is part-funded by PRNDC in conjunction with Crime Concern.
May 2000: Government grants £55 million from New Deal for Communities’ fund for Preston Road Estate.
JULY 2000: Richard Davies becomes Managing Director.
SEPTEMBER 2000: Additional Police team - one sergeant and three constables - appointed.
SEPTEMBER 2000: Domestic Violence project launched, funded by Health Action Zone Innovations Fund, now managed by Probation Service.
SEPTEMBER 2000: Programme Directors appointed: Robin Prescott - Finance and Personnel; Catherine Bainton - Community and Employment; Jack Davies - Learning, Health and Development; Joan Sanders - Neighbourhood Management.
